#paulprivat reception today to celebrate the new cookbook from Paul Cunningham.

Paul Cunningham Privat. Or #paulprivat as the hashtag at the reception today said. The latest cookbook from the British star-chef Paul Cunningham, considered to be more than half-Danish because of his more than 15 years in Denmark. Paul’s latest book was officially launched today at the studio of talented Line Thit Klein, photographer, at Frederiksberg in Copenhagen.

Invited were friends of Paul, Paulfood (Paul’s brand) and Henne Kirkeby Kro on social media. E.g. via Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. A great group of “not-so-many-old-journalists” - and we all heard Paul honored as always - blessed with this ‘new’ life at Henne Kirkeby Kro on Denmark’s West coast. “I don’t miss my life in Copenhagen, sorry to say!”, he said - and that’s quite okay, Paul! We don’t want you back as you were when times in Tivoli were busy - too busy. We want you, as you are now - happy, delighted, privileged, humble and most of all: just Paul Cunningham.

If you want to see the great shots from today, search Instagram for #paulprivat - you might end up finding new instagrammers to follow! The book is on sale online - see Paulfood.com.

Mad Monday Panel at NOMA, Copenhagen

René Redzepi’s MAD Mondays, a public lecture and discussion series based on his wildly popular annual summertime MAD Symposium. How did Eliasson’s concept spring to life? For that matter, where did Picasso’s “Guernica” come from? How did James Joyce create his stream of consciousness for Ulysses? And where does René Redzepi come off serving ants and cricket paste at dinner at his “world’s best restaurant,” Copenhagen’s Noma? The answers to all these questions lie in the nature of creativity.

The Danish Gourmet Hotdog Champion 2012 is Wassim Hallal, Hotel Frederikshøj - beating Paul Cunningham from Henne Kirkeby Kro. Now the ‘score’ between the two fighting chefs is 2-2, but rumor says that Paul made “Thie Kings Last Hot Dog” and will not return to the competition. Check the finalists and winner here ;) (Partly in Danish)

Michelin chef Paul Cunningham from Copenhagen’s starred restaurant, The Paul, will, from March 30 be taking over the helm at the idyllic inn Henne Kirkeby Kro, in the west of Denmark. While The Paul in Tivoli was based in the old, scenic surroundings by architect Poul Henningsen, Henne Kirkeby Kro is something completely different - but oh, so beautiful. Let me illustrate with some images, but first one of the lucky and happy chef, Mr. Paul C
