In the West End of Copenhagen you find the great street of Oehlenschlægersgade - where the tiny shop MAIK offers great designs. Like the new daybed from RIIS. The man behind this wonderful creation is Christian Riis who designs and manufactures custom made furniture on demand. The Daybed is on display in smoked oak but it also comes in American walnut, oak and ash. We love it. Do you?
In Professor Ole Wanscher’s belongings PJ Furniture found a draft of a Daybed that had never been produced. And now it’s here - launching during this week’s Stockholm Furniture Fair. The Daybed has definitely been derived from Wanscher’s Colonial Chair ( PJ 149) and sofa PJ 149/2, and will be produced in oak and chestnut.
