What once was just the front of the Marriott hotel and a headquarter of the Nykredit Bank, is now a cool place for summer hangouts in Copenhagen. At Kalvebod Brygge - opposite the very popular, and crowded Islands Brygge, the Kalvebod Wave (in Danish: Kalvebod Bølge) is Islands Brygge’s urban counterpart.

With a close connection to the central train station and Tivoli, Copenhagen’s famous city amusement park,  Kalvebod Waves is a hub where the inner city has regained its connection to the harbor.

Architects: JDS Architects. See the full project here.
